“chori chori jab nazarein mili”

Posted: September 9, 2011 in SilkenSounds

this one’s another example of reverse engineering! i was bored one afternoon and was tinkering with the piano sample. i took the favorite chord of the musicians – d major 🙂 – and built a rhythm on it – having no idea where i was going. i left the thing lying and was watching tv later when this song came onto some channel and thought to myself .. have i heard this rhythm somewhere before today and then i remembered! i grabbed my laptop again and built the first few lines on the piano and put the rhythm i had made earlier, in the background .. and it turned out great. and so followed the rest of the song.

the lead and the rhythm piano are just about the only main sounds .. so everything else .. i have kept simple. unlike any other song that i have uploaded so far .. in this one .. the beats kick in somewhere at middle of the song .. that too for a short while. as i said .. the lead and the rhythm take a driver’s seat this time! Underlining the whole thing is the bass. I love deep bass but the problem with it is that not all speakers or headphones are able to handle it well .. the diaphragm goes crazy! But I have tried to put in as low a frequency as possible in this one .. so lets hope it does not trouble your headphones too much 🙂

all in all .. simple .. melodious and romantic are the words! enjoy!
